Tactical meeting

A tactical meeting is a recurring meeting where participants share project updates, discuss areas for improvement and decide on next steps.

There are 6 stages in a tactical meeting:

  1. Check-in round
  2. Checklist review
  3. Metrics review
  4. Project updates
  5. Processing of agenda items ( Holacracy practitioners call these items "tensions")
  6. Closing round

To ensure that the tactical meeting is as effective as possible, it's a good idea to appoint a facilitator to ensure that all points are covered within the allotted time.

Although the tactical meeting was developed in the Holacracy Constitution, it is a meeting format suitable for all types of organization. You don't need to practice Holacracy to organize your meetings in this way.
