Facilitator

A facilitator is someone who ensures that meetings are both inclusive and effective.

To do this, it creates a safe space where participants can :

  • ask for support,
  • express their concerns,
  • make suggestions, no matter who's in the room.

In addition, the facilitator ensures that participants tackle the items on the meeting agenda effectively and agree on the next steps to be taken.

The facilitator role in Holacracy

In a holacratic organization, the facilitator is elected by the members of the circle. His or her main objective is to ensure that the circle's governance and tactical meetings take place in accordance with the rules of the Constitution.

It's important to note that the roles of circle lead and facilitator cannot be occupied by the same person.
