Which modules to activate for internal communication?

Talkspirit allows you to meet different communication and collaboration needs. We distinguish four families of use: 

  • internal communication,
  • collaborative work,
  • community animation,
  • the digital workplace. 
Are you a business? Do you address employees and wish to equip your communication with an enterprise social network (IT consulting company)? If so, your use case is probably internal communication! Your goal? Integrate and involve your employees into your company's processes!

To bring your employees closer together and allow them to be informed of the latest events in your company, certain modules are essential. Among them: 

  • the welcome module,
  • the news feed module, 
  • the drive module,
  • the events module,
  • the chat module,
  • the library module.

  • the application directory module.

The essentials

The Home module 

The Welcome module is ideal for conveying your values, clarifying the processes in place within your structure, but also communicating on important dates and events. If it allows you to inform the employee, it also allows him to feel more integrated to your organization.

The news feed module

The news feed is essential for addressing your chosen internal themes and helping them evolve. It will allow you to create a group by process or business line and to inform all its members in a harmonized way: no more communication in every direction! 

💡 Welcome each new employee to a group Welcome and offer them visibility into the various departments in place, onboarding resources available, and much more!

With the news feed, involve your employees:

  • Collect feedback and launch surveys with the survey
  • Set up idea boxes in the form of groups to encourage initiatives and encourage innovation.

The drive module

If the drive allows you to collaborate on different projects, it can also be very useful when used as an internal communication tool! It will allow you to provide your employees with:

  • videos of the organization in free access,
  • photo files of your events like seminars, customer parties, and teambuilding
  • Replay of meetings or events through recording

The Events module

The implementation of the Events module within your structure appears essential when you want to coordinate your teams. To facilitate your company's internal communication and organization, the shared calendar is the ideal tool. 

It will allow your employees to gain visibility on the availability of each, but can also be the basis of an internal communication for your company events.

The chat module

The chat module is ideal for sharing information quickly and efficiently, but also for promoting team spirit.

The Library module

The library is a knowledge base module: it allows you to create and gather all the internal resources and information your employees can refer to based on their individual needs. This module allows you to: 

  • improve the flow of information,
  • to prevent loss of knowledge, 
  • improve productivity and encourage innovation.

The Library module is activated by default on your platform when you subscribe to a Premium internal communication subscription. You are on a Standard subscription? Contact us to upgrade your subscription. 

The recommended ones

The Projects module

The Projects module is often seen as an essential module for collaboration, and it can also be very useful for internal communication. Indeed, this module allows a fine and fast follow-up of your various processes in progress. 

For example: 

  • Follow the organization of your corporate events and quickly distinguish the actions undertaken and to be undertaken,
  • Build an editorial calendar for internal communications and have it validated before publication, 
  • track the recruitment of new employees by department and quickly target the next steps, 
  • Welcome new employees by following a clear process and ensuring that they have all the necessary elements for an optimal start.

The Application Directory module

The application directory is ideal for gathering all the tools that your employees use on a daily basis. Thanks to this module, you'll be able to make the tools that you want to see privileged available to the platform users.

The application directory is activated by default on your platform when you subscribe to a Premium internal communication subscription. You are on a Standard subscription? Contact us to upgrade your subscription. 

Features to go further

The FAQ bot

The FAQ bot is a very useful tool for internal communication. Indeed, this bot aims at relieving the support teams. It allows them to gain productivity on other subjects while automating the answers that can be given. 

With the FAQ bot, you'll be able to automate the answer to questions such as: 

  • the address of the company, 
  • the office wifi code,
  • the lunch voucher policy,
  • the expense reimbursement policy, 
  • Leave policy, 
  • the process of sending care sheets.

The FAQ bot is not activated by default on your platform. 

Want to activate it? You have 15 days to test the feature (careful, trying it is adopting it)!

The newsletter

The newsletter feature allows you to share all the contributions related to a theme in just a few clicks. This way, you can unburden your communication teams, who'll only have to select the contributions already shared on the platform to push them by email!

By sending an email newsletter, encourage your users to connect regularly to the platform to learn about new activities that are shared.

The user directory

The user directory is a key feature of internal communication. It allows your employees to quickly target their privileged contacts thanks to a dynamic search based on criteria chosen by the user. 

To get the most out of this feature, we strongly recommend that all of your employees display completed profile sheets. If necessary, you have the possibility, as the platform administrator, to fill in the user information in bulk

Birthdays

The Anniversaries feature is ideal for internal communication as it helps to bring your teams closer together and allows for greater social cohesion. By activating the feature, you allow your employees to display the work anniversaries of their colleagues and contact them to celebrate this special day with them!

The anniversaries feature is not enabled by default. It is available regardless of the internal communication plan you subscribe to. To activate it, go to the Administration, Events section and enable the option. For more information on this activation, please refer to our dedicated article
